A powerhouse quartet from Canada’s Cape Breton Island, Còig are one of today’s most exciting North American Celtic groups.

With a combined total of over 30 group and solo awards and nominations - most recently the 2018 East Coast Music Award for Traditional/Roots recording of the year, a 2018 JUNO nomination, and a 2017 Canadian Folk Music Award - the four band members draw heavily from traditional music backgrounds, whilst bringing their collective experience in rock, world music, contemporary music and jazz to bear in their arrangements of haunting traditional songs, upbeat original compositions and driving tunes.

Whilst their combined influences forge Còig’s unique sound, it is one that could only come from these four players: a band of fast friends that grew up together, and jammed together long before they ever considered being in a group together.

Fiddlers Chrissy Crowley and Rachel Davis join with Darren McMullen (guitar, banjo, mandolin, vocals) and pianist Jason Roach in a fiery union - bursting with energy - that has delighted audiences around the world.
