Kerr Fagan Harbron
Three outstanding musicians; one thrilling trio. Making a welcome return to the Orkney Folk Festival after some thirteen years, Nancy Kerr and James Fagan (BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards Best Duo 2003, 2011) are joined by one of the finest concertina players and folk composers of his generation, Robert Harbron (English Acoustic Collective, Jon Boden and The Remnant Kings, Fay Hield’s Hurricane Party).
Nancy, James and Rob are each internationally regarded as a leading player of their specialty instrument: Nancy on fiddle, James on bouzouki and Rob on English concertina. So too are they all fine singers, combining to form a magical three-part harmony. Incorporating elements from English, Australian, Irish and American traditions, Kerr Fagan Harbron also revel in exploring their own compositions and songwriting.
