Glenfinnan Ceilidh Band
West Lochaber has always been fertile ground for attracting and nurturing traditional talent, as is typified by this grouping of musical giants.
All based in Glenfinnan village, the Ceilidh Band members include stalwarts from the traditional music world who are as at home playing large concert venues as they are intimate bothy ceilidhs.
On fiddle is Iain MacFarlane (Blazin’ Fiddles), alongside banjo ace Colm O’Rua (Dàimh), accordionist and caller Dougie Hunter (Hoogie, Six Foot Ginger), and Ingrid Henderson (Cliar/ Anne Martin duo) on piano. Formed for the sheer fun of playing good music together, the foursome create a unique blend of West Coast dance music that will get your toes tapping, beating a path to the nearest dancefloor.
